Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Community Living Housing Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at the Minnesota Department of Human Services. This role will play a critical part in developing and implementing policies, providing technical assistance, and supporting the development of housing infrastructure programs across the state.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of Community Living Infrastructure grant funds to counties and tribes across the state.
  • Provide technical assistance, education, and training to develop housing infrastructure within county and tribal human service systems.
  • Collaborate with partners to develop and implement successful transition strategies and protocols to support Minnesotans transitioning from housing insecurity/homelessness and institutional to community-based settings.
Requirements
  • Three (3) years of working experience supporting housing program development or management for a public assistance program.
  • Experience must demonstrate understanding of the systemic causes of homelessness, the importance of housing stability, and the broad array of supports and services associated with supportive housing interventions.
  • History of working with people with disabilities and disabling conditions as they navigate housing and support systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience leading grant applications and/or coordinating a Request for Proposal process.
  • Knowledge of contract and grant management along with basic public budget and finance principles.
  • Experience developing or implementing changes to human services programs and operations.
