Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Ascension Wisconsin. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, providing quality images to radiologists and physicians, and operating cameras that detect and map radioactive drugs in a patient's body.

Responsibilities
  • Perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, including preparing, administering, and disposing of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols.
  • Position patients and select anatomic and technical factors to ensure high-quality images.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS.
  • Report potential problems or equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or Technologist specializing in Nuclear Medicine credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • State Radiology Technologist licensure issued by Wisconsin Radiography Examining Board.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
