Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Ascension Wisconsin. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radioactive materials to create high-quality images for radiologists and physicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures using radiopharmaceuticals to create diagnostic images.
  • Maintain and operate cameras that detect and map radioactive drugs in a patient's body.
  • Position patients and select anatomic and technical factors accurately.
  • Order, prepare, administer, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
  • Nuclear Medical Tech certification from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or Radiologic Technologist specializing in Nuclear Medicine certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • State Radiology Technologist licensure issued by the Wisconsin Radiography Examining Board.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
