Job Summary and Qualifications
We are currently seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist II. In this role, you will assist in cardiac catheterization, as well as vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures. You will also perform emergency procedures related to catheterization, including IAB and temporary pacer insertion, following established standards and practices under the guidance of a credentialed invasive cardiologist or invasive radiologist.

Your Responsibilities May Include:

  • Demonstrating responsibility and accountability in recognizing and identifying potential and actual patient issues, collecting accurate data, and participating in the patient's Place of Care in accordance with departmental standards.
  • Prioritizing resources for patient care and diagnostic activities based on accurate patient information and staff capabilities.
  • Exhibiting knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology, along with specific conditions, diseases (CAD), and treatment therapies relevant to the patient populations served.
  • Demonstrating knowledge and competency in performing Cath lab procedures.
  • Assisting in data collection related to cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, renal, and peripheral vascular status, documenting findings, and reporting abnormal or out-of-range results to the physician.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or GED required.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Cardiovascular Technology and/or RCIS Certification and/or ARRT IR.
- Two years of experience in a licensed field and one year of cardiac cath lab experience.
- LPN with one year of experience and Critical Care course within one year of hire, or one year of Cath Lab experience, or one year of RCIS or CVT, or Graduate of an accredited RCVT program.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions. Proficiency in PC skills is essential.

What Qualifications You Will Need:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Vocational School Graduate.
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist, Registered Vascular Lab Technician, or RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT / RCP).
