Job Summary

PepsiCo is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing, setting up, repairing, and maintaining vending, cooling, and fountain equipment at customer accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and set up equipment by making holes and routing lines to connect products to dispensing units, connecting water and gas supply, and finding drains for units with ice.
  • Unload and reload products as necessary, and fill installed equipment to the proper mixture.
  • Diagnose equipment problems and use judgment to determine the best course of action for repair or replacement.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on marketing equipment, including cleaning and lubricating moving parts, and replacing worn or damaged components.
  • Drive to locations, evaluate situations, and perform necessary work, which may include plumbing, electricity, refrigeration, and carpentry.
  • Collect accurate and complete equipment and customer information, and complete documentation on e-pad after each call.
  • Transport miscellaneous items, such as compressors for repair or scrap, cardboard for recycling, and other materials.
  • Follow all safety requirements, regulations, and processes, and follow all driving rules and regulations when operating a company vehicle.
  • Complete all job role training modules, including Pepsi Pro training, and build competence and skill in diagnosis and repair of beverage industry equipment.
Requirements
  • 18 years or older
  • 21 years or older if CDL Required
  • Pass DOT Physical and DOT Road-test if required
  • Adhere to DOT Regulations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working with mechanical systems, including troubleshooting and repairing appliances, and performing basic household repair in plumbing, circuits, fuses, and electrical components.
  • Serving customers, including resolving customer issues, ensuring appropriate communication with store managers, and following up on customer requests.
  • Working with basic refrigeration systems, including understanding refrigeration cycles, Freon, compressors, evaporators, and condensers.
  • Working with electrical systems, including understanding flow, wiring, outlets, and other electrical components.
  • Working with plumbing, including working with drains, water supply, ice makers, shut-off valves, sweating copper, filtration systems, and other plumbing components.
  • Equipment installation, including HVAC, refrigeration, auto, copiers, fountain products, and other equipment.
