Delivering Exceptional Maternal Care

Tufts Medical Center is committed to providing the highest level of care to our patients and their families. As a Mother/Infant Unit Professional RN-Nights, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional maternal care to our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional and nonprofessional nursing care services in accordance with physician orders.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care needs of a designated group of patients.
  • Collaborate with patient, family/significant others, and other disciplines to identify expected outcomes and develop a care plan.
  • Implement the plan of care in a safe and timely manner, documenting any modifications or omissions.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the planned strategies and update the plan of care as needed.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • OB, L&D, or postpartum experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing/walking.
  • Lifts, positions, pushes, and/or transfers patients and equipment.
  • Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Possesses and applies the skills and knowledge necessary to provide care to patients throughout the life span.
  • Ability to provide care for a designated group of patients according to unit guidelines and hospital policies.
