Job Title: Radiologic Technologist Full Time

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Radiologic Technologist to join our team at In and Out Urgent Care. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, maintaining patient records, and providing exceptional patient care.

Job Summary:

The Radiologic Technologist will work under the direction of a Provider and Clinical Director, assisting in the delivery of healthcare to our patients. This role requires a strong understanding of radiology procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for x-ray procedures, explain procedures to patients and/or family members, and prepare rooms, equipment, and materials as needed.
  • Position patients and obtain quality diagnostic images.
  • Develop, mark, and file x-ray images and reports, and burn images to disc when necessary.
  • Practice ALARA (as low as reasonably achievable) to limit exposure to patients and medical team.
  • Observe patients and machines during procedures, report unusual occurrences, and document patient conditions.
  • Clean and disinfect x-ray rooms and equipment, maintain and order DME supplies.
  • Perform routine x-ray exams and quality assurance tests, and maintain x-ray quality assurance records.
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Completion of accredited radiology technology program.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge of specific and OSHA requirements regarding radiological procedures.
  • Six months x-ray experience and familiarity with routine medical procedures.
  • Ability to accurately read and write medical terminology.
  • Ability to escort or transport patients by wheelchair or stretcher when necessary.
  • Ability to work 12 shifts during the week and 8 hour shifts on the weekend, including holiday hours as needed.
  • Great computer skills, including familiarity with electronic medical records.
  • Types 60 words per minute with 96% accuracy.
  • Detail oriented with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
License and Certifications:
  • Current certification and/or state licensure in radiology technology in Louisiana required.
  • Current BLS Certification required.
