Job Summary

The Radiology Technologist will provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients in a timely and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide imaging and fluoroscopic support during surgical procedures
Perform tasks and duties as outlined per hospital policy and procedure
Assist in assigned administrative tasks and maintain clinical competencies through participation in educational and orientation programs
Work closely with physicians, PAs, and NPs to receive guidance and instruction for treating patients and prepares patients for radiological procedures
Protect patients, yourself, and staff from radiation exposure by practicing sound procedures that meet or exceed recommended industry standards

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited radiologic technologists program
Current ARRT or ARDMS certification
Current Louisiana State License LRT
Current BLS certification or able to obtain within 30 days of hire
Two years of experience required and must be proficient in diagnostic radiology

Skills

Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
Basic computer knowledge

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires repetitive motions, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day. The employee must frequently lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
