The supervisor plays a crucial role in the recruitment, selection, training, and supervision of store staff, while also assisting in customer order processing and business development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the complete operations of the store and the performance of all associates.
- Maintain accurate records, both digital and paper, ensuring proper backup and secure storage of sensitive information.
- Protect store property through diligent inventory management, thorough documentation of customer orders, and regular security checks.
- Manage all financial transactions, ensuring compliance with cash handling protocols.
- Implement and uphold all company policies and procedures within the store.
- Ensure accurate reporting of all transactions and activities conducted by the store.
- Supervise and guide associates in their duties, including order approvals, adherence to collection guidelines, and service delivery.
- Facilitate training schedules for all store associates to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Drive business growth by enhancing revenue streams and managing customer accounts effectively.
- Complete weekly Vehicle Maintenance Reports and ensure proper review and signatures are obtained.
- Conduct regular team meetings to foster communication and collaboration among staff.
Additional Duties:
- Focus on increasing profitability through revenue enhancement and cost management.
- Respond promptly to inquiries from corporate leadership and regional management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience is required.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is essential.
- DOT certification may be necessary based on state regulations.
- Completion of a management training program and a minimum of six months of relevant management experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to seventy-five (75) pounds.
Work Environment:
The role involves working in dynamic environments that require considerable walking, standing, bending, and lifting. The supervisor must effectively manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing situations. Additional hours may be necessary outside of standard business hours, and travel between locations may be required.
Interpersonal Relationships:
This position necessitates frequent interaction with customers, team members, and upper management, along with occasional contact with external partners such as suppliers and service organizations. Effective communication skills are vital for success in this role.
