Key Responsibilities
Role Summary: The selected candidate will execute general radiographic tasks as well as more intricate procedures in accordance with established protocols and directives from the Imaging Supervisor and Medical Director. The role requires proficiency in patient care across all age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. Participation in the department's on-call schedule may be necessary to guarantee coverage during evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant education and experience.
  • Current California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) and Fluoroscopy (RTTF) licenses.
  • Demonstrated expertise in general radiology along with proficiency in at least one additional modality, such as:
    • Angiography
    • Special Procedures - MRI
    • CT Scanning
    • Mammography
  • In-depth knowledge of:
    • Anatomy and physiology pertinent to imaging
    • Medical terminology related to radiology
    • Operation and maintenance of imaging equipment
    • Current diagnostic radiologic procedures
    • Radiation safety protocols
    • Film processing systems and/or PACS
    • Use and risks associated with diagnostic contrast materials
  • Ability to:
    • Minimize radiation exposure for patients and staff
    • Conduct general and specialized radiographic procedures meeting departmental quality standards
    • Recognize and address allergic reactions and other critical patient conditions
    • Interact courteously and tactfully with patients and visitors
    • Handle distressed patients with empathy and professionalism
    • Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals
    • Uphold patient confidentiality
    • Provide reassurance to patients during examinations
    • Maintain organized work processes and accurate records
    • Demonstrate precision in procedural details
    • Operate departmental information systems proficiently
    • Work independently and manage on-call responsibilities
    • Maintain a sterile working environment
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active membership with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
