Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team at the Detroit Medical Center. As a Cardiovascular Technologist, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with cardiovascular diseases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess patient parameters and performance during procedures
  • Record hemodynamic/physiological waveforms and perform calculations
  • Maintain equipment and supply inventory
  • Prepare patients for procedures and monitor their status
  • Assist with basic and advanced life support
  • Act as a resource to staff on hemodynamic monitoring systems
  • Perform analysis and upgrades of system to maintain data integrity
  • Operate specialty imaging equipment to obtain quality images
  • Gather patient information and maintain examination records
Requirements:
  • Associates degree in Science with a major in Cardiovascular Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Registration with the National Board of Cardio Vascular Testing (RCIS) or equivalent certification
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support-Healthcare Provider (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
  • One or more years of direct Cardiac Cath/Peripheral Vascular/EP Lab experience
