Job Overview

Raptive is seeking a highly skilled Payroll and Compensation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the HR team, you will work closely with the Director of HR Operations, SVP of HR, and finance team to ensure the accurate and timely processing of semi-monthly multi-state payroll.

The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compensation best practices. You will be responsible for leading the processing of payroll, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, and maintaining accurate payroll records.

In addition to payroll processing, you will also be responsible for managing compensation-related activities, such as salary adjustments, bonus payments, and long-term incentive programs. You will work closely with the SVP, HR to maintain compensation ranges and structure using the Radford Aon platform.

The successful candidate will have excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities, with a strong attention to detail and ability to identify and solve issues efficiently. You will also have excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly and effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the processing of semi-monthly multi-state payroll, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and resolve discrepancies.
  • Identify inefficiencies and errors in payroll data and documents, and recommend and implement streamlined procedures to enhance payroll processes.
  • Manage relevant payroll provider and software vendor relationships.
  • Lead compensation-related activities, such as salary adjustments, bonus payments, and long-term incentive programs.
  • Work with the SVP, HR to maintain compensation ranges and structure using the Radford Aon platform.
  • Work closely with the Finance department to reconcile compensation-related accounts.
  • Assist with 401(k) ERISA compliance, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met.
  • Participate in audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations for compensation-related items.
  • Collaborate with auditors, accountants, and other finance professionals to ensure integrity and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Assist with the implementation and maintenance of payroll systems.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for HR analytics and reporting, providing insights to drive data-informed decisions.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of dedicated payroll experience showing increased responsibility.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compensation best practices.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, detail-oriented, and able to identify and solve issues efficiently.
  • Experience with compensation administration and working market data such as Radford Aon.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Highly organized with impeccable attention to detail. Strong time management skills, able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and good judgment.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on providing a positive experience for all stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create and analyze complex spreadsheets.

The base salary range for this position is $100,000-$120,000. The range provided is Raptive's reasonable estimate of the annualized base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, geographic location, knowledge, skills and abilities. This role is eligible for additional incentive compensation that isn't included in the posted range.
