Role OverviewAre you an innovative thinker who excels at problem-solving and enjoys crafting solutions that captivate? We are in search of a proactive Senior Principal Product Manager to lead our Tools portfolio, aiding Solution Consultants in tailoring their demonstrations to align with the unique requirements of potential clients. This role is centered on boosting Solution Consultant efficiency and accelerating the sales cycle.
This position is crucial within our Demo Operations & Architecture teams, providing the chance to operate in a startup-like atmosphere with considerable independence. We seek an individual who can champion superior development practices and work closely with our Demo Engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Discovery:
- Lead the consolidation of tools across various internal teams; establish and drive processes for the creation, updates, and retirement of new tools.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including Solution Consultants and Demo Engineering teams, to identify tooling needs and potential opportunities.
- Define product specifications and develop a detailed short-term and long-term roadmap for tools.
Development:
- Steer the development lifecycle, including sprint planning, backlog management, and defining user stories.
- Guide the creation of advanced tools and mentor junior members of the Systems Engineering team.
- Evaluate the technical feasibility, dependencies, and constraints of features, collaborating with relevant teams as needed.
Launch & Enablement:
- Establish metrics to assess the performance and effectiveness of our tools.
- Coordinate tool launches, including the creation of enablement materials and conducting training sessions.
- Actively promote tool adoption to enhance the productivity of Solution Consultants.
- Monitor performance and collect feedback from stakeholders to identify areas for enhancement.
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in Technical Consulting, Software Development, or Product Management, with familiarity with the Now Platform and other ServiceNow applications.
- Preferred ServiceNow Certifications.
- Experience in end-to-end product delivery: discovery, ideation, requirements/specifications, delivery, and data analysis/customer feedback.
- Experience in an agile/scrum environment.
- Ability to create engaging and educational content.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex concepts clearly and succinctly.
- Capacity to demonstrate innovative thinking.
- Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment and manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
Provide mentorship to junior developers.
