Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified individual to fulfill the role of Project Manager - Electrical Construction. This position entails overseeing and managing all facets of one or multiple projects. You will supervise and guide a team of Foremen, Team Leaders, and Field Personnel to ensure the implementation and maintenance of safe and healthy working conditions at job sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily leadership and management of jobsite Foremen, Leaders, Crew, and Assistant Project Managers to ensure effective communication of project expectations.
  • Develop project budgets, timelines, schedules of values, and monthly billings for contract and AIA projects. Analyze adherence to project budgets and implement cost control measures as necessary.
  • Manage project budgets to achieve maximum profitability through the use of cost codes.
  • Oversee all Submittals, RFIs, Change Orders, and Closeouts.
  • Conduct regular job site visits to manage operations and resolve issues, ensuring safety compliance.
  • Enhance productivity by coordinating manpower needs with the Director of Operations and Foremen.
  • Act as the company liaison with general contractors and subcontractors, facilitating project goals through effective communication.
  • Foster positive business relationships essential for project success, maintaining regular communication with customers, suppliers, and vendors.
  • Collaborate with the purchasing department to ensure project equipment and material needs are met.
  • Work closely with the accounting department to provide timely and accurate financial information for job cost reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is required, along with five to ten years of proven industry experience.
  • PMP certification is advantageous.
  • Experience with BIM and estimating is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs) and Trimble is beneficial.

Skills and Abilities

  • In-depth knowledge of the current National Electric Code (NEC) and NFPA70E.
  • Proficient in contract reviews, analysis, and interpretation of blueprints and work orders.
  • Strong managerial and administrative skills, with a proven ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications and project management software.
  • Ability to operate company vehicles with both manual and automatic transmissions.
  • This position is safety-sensitive; adherence to all safety requirements is mandatory.

Working Conditions

  • Jobsite visits may require lifting, carrying, or moving 50 pounds or more.
  • Able to work 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week.

Special Requirements

  • Must possess a current, valid Driver's License and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
  • Willingness to travel locally, in-state, and out-of-state as required.
  • Must pass background checks, drug/alcohol screenings, and physicals as required.
