Position Summary
This is a day shift opportunity for an experienced ICU RN, ideally with a background in cardiac care, to become part of a dynamic team within our expanding Heart Centered Unit.
Role Responsibilities
The Coronary Intensive Care Unit (CCU) is in search of a skilled ICU RN with expertise in Cardiac and Cardiovascular care. You will be involved in the comprehensive management of patients with conditions such as Heart Failure, Post-Stemi, and those requiring interventions like Catheterization and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump therapy. Building meaningful relationships with patients and their families during critical moments is at the heart of our mission.
This unit is designed for high-acuity patients and operates in a fast-paced setting. Your contributions will directly impact patient outcomes and the overall quality of care provided.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- A minimum of 12 months of recent nursing experience or completion of a re-entry nursing program.
- Valid and active nursing license or temporary permit approved by the relevant licensing board.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
Key Competencies
- Demonstrated ability to provide safe and effective patient care independently, utilizing the nursing process.
- Strong assessment skills and the ability to adapt to changing clinical situations.
- Proficient in documenting nursing processes accurately and in the required formats.
- Capable of planning and implementing individualized patient care plans based on patient and family input.
- Ability to evaluate patient responses to care and adjust plans accordingly.
