Position Summary
We are currently offering a Day Shift opportunity for an experienced ICU RN, preferably with a background in Cardiac care, to join our expanding Heart Centered Team.
Emory Midtown Hospital's Cardiology Services are on the rise.
As a member of our 12-bed Coronary Intensive Care Unit (CCU), you will play a vital role in the care of patients with conditions such as Heart Failure, Post-Stemi, and those requiring interventions like Catheterization and IABP support.
Building meaningful relationships with patients and their families during critical times is at the heart of our mission.
This unit caters to high-acuity patients in a dynamic care setting. We invite you to be part of this transformative journey.We take pride in being the only health system in Georgia with four Magnet-recognized hospitals, setting a new benchmark for patient care.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- A minimum of 12 months of recent nursing experience within the last five years or completion of a re-entry nursing program.
- Possession of a valid, active, unencumbered Nursing license or a temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
- BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association) required.
Job Responsibilities:
As a skilled clinician, you will leverage your extensive experience to provide exceptional care to a specific patient demographic.
You will apply the Synergy Model for Care in practice, tailoring care to meet the unique needs of each patient and their family.
Effective and respectful communication with patients, their families, and the healthcare team is essential.
You will deliver safe, reliable, and effective care independently, employing the nursing process.
Demonstrating advanced assessment skills, you will recognize the influence of nursing interventions on patient outcomes. You will continue to identify your performance limitations while requiring minimal assistance.
Accurate documentation of the nursing process in the appropriate format (e.g., electronic health records, clinical pathways) is expected.
You will independently plan and implement patient care, incorporating patient and family input into the care plan.
Evaluating patient responses to care, you will adjust the care plan as necessary.
Identifying learning needs for patients and families, you will make appropriate recommendations for resources.
Incorporating the AACN Synergy Model into your clinical practice is essential.
