Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiac Care Specialist to join our team at Travel Nurse Source. As a Critical Care Nurse in our CVICU unit, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to critically ill patients with primary cardiac diagnoses.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide intense monitoring and care to patients requiring Intra-aortic balloon pumps, external temporary pacemakers, and continuous renal replacement therapy.
  • Work closely with the Cardiac Catheterization Lab to assist in quick diagnosis and treatment of patients requiring percutaneous coronary intervention for ST elevation myocardial infarction.
  • Respond to all cardiac and respiratory arrests in the hospital, assisting with immediate treatment of these critically ill patients.
  • Provide emotional support for patients and their families, as well as educate them on how to manage post-treatment home care needs.

Requirements:

  • BLS certification
  • CVICU skills and experience
  • CVICU exam certification
  • Color Vision Mandatory Exam certification
  • Core Mandatory Part I certification
  • Core Mandatory Part II (Nursing) certification
  • Core Mandatory Part III certification
  • Preventing Medication Errors certification
  • RN Pharmacology certification
  • RN State License
