Key Responsibilities

Peraton is in search of a DevSecOps Specialist

Work Location: Onsite in Kansas City, Missouri (consideration for other locations may be available)

Primary Duties:

- Design, develop, and implement innovative cloud-based solutions.
- Architect cloud infrastructure and produce detailed plans and specifications for solution development.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams to create specifications for new cloud-based products, services, applications, and solutions.
- Lead the deployment of cloud management platforms, assess their performance, and recommend enhancements.
- Expand and enhance the portfolio of cloud services and associated value-added services.
- Provide solution recommendations, including Basis of Estimate for cloud services.
- Analyze the cost/benefit of various hosting solutions, including cloud, virtual private networks, dedicated hosting, and in-house options, identifying high-return areas for cloud deployment.
- Manage operations and maintenance of secure managed cloud platform solutions.
- Implement and sustain automation to improve operations, alerting, and auto-remediation of incidents.
- Develop, maintain, and deploy infrastructure as code utilizing CI/CD pipelines.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience with a BS/BA; 10 years with an MS/MA; or 7 years with a Ph.D. Candidates with HS diploma and 16 years of experience will also be considered.
  • Possession of a DOD Secret Clearance.
  • Certifications: IAT II and Azure certification are mandatory.
  • Extensive senior-level experience in designing, architecting, building, and operating a DevSecOps pipeline within Azure government high cloud.
  • Proven experience in migrating on-premises workloads to a hybrid cloud environment.
  • Familiarity with accrediting DevSecOps infrastructure and supporting DOD/USMC RMF processes.
  • Experience with VMWARE infrastructure.
  • Collaborative experience with application developers and operators to implement DevSecOps capabilities and processes.
Desired Qualifications

  • ITIL training or certification is preferred.
  • AWS certification is a plus.

Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
