Job Overview

As a key member of the Multi-Color Corporation team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our digital press. Your primary responsibility will be to set up and operate the HP Digital Press, preparing for preflight, color adjustments, and the manufacture of all digitally printed products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up jobs in accordance with job tickets and product specification documents, including pre-flighting files and making color adjustments.
  • Complete job start-up and quality sign-off, including specification and visual checks.
  • Operate the digital press to produce products in conformance with customer specifications while minimizing waste and maintaining press efficiency.
  • Requisition all supplies required to operate the digital press and produce quality digital labels.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot the press and related equipment, including preventative maintenance and contracting with local HP Service professionals as needed.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by following all safety guidelines and reporting any safety risks to supervisors or safety team representatives.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), required.
  • Experience operating a digital press and/or minimum 2 years web and/or offset experience, required.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret internal and external communications to perform job duties.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to determine 'root cause' of problems and determine corrective action.
  • Proficient knowledge of production materials, quality methods, and color standards.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude and computer prepress/preflight knowledge.
  • Able to frequently stand and walk, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
