Shipfitter Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Shipfitter Specialist to join our team in San Diego. As a key member of our ship repair and construction team, you will be responsible for laying out and fabricating metal plates, bulkheads, and frames. Your expertise in tack welding brackets and plates, preparing molds and templates for fabrication, and operating shop machinery such as plate rolls, presses, and punch presses will be essential in delivering high-quality results.

1. Lay out and fabricate metal plates, bulkheads, and frames.
2. Tack weld brackets and plates.
3. Prepare molds and templates for fabrication.
4. Operate shop machinery such as plate rolls, presses, and punch presses.

1. At least 4 years of shipyard and shipfitting experience.
2. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, and schematics.
3. DBIDS eligibility.
