Simpson Judge Ltd is seeking a talented Insurance Coverage Attorney to join their team in the Manhattan office. This opportunity will provide a challenging yet highly rewarding experience, representing top insurance companies in coverage disputes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Policy Review and Analysis: Review and draft various insurance policies and legal contracts to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Coverage Opinions: Provide in-depth coverage analysis and recommendations to clients, ensuring they are well-informed and prepared for potential disputes.
  • Deposition and Court Appearances: Conduct and defend depositions, and represent clients in court, utilizing strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Document Preparation: Draft and respond to discovery demands, motions, pleadings, and other documents, demonstrating excellent research and writing skills.
  • Settlement Negotiations: Draft and negotiate settlements, ensuring fair and reasonable outcomes for clients.

Qualifications:

  • Admission to Practice: Be admitted to practice in New York and ideally New Jersey.
  • Experience: Possess 3+ years of experience in Insurance Coverage, with a strong background in litigation within State and Federal Courts.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Have a deep understanding of General Liability, Property Damage, Premises Liability, Labor Law, Construction Defects, and other relevant areas of insurance law.
  • Communication and Analytical Skills: Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, with excellent research and writing abilities, and a detail-oriented approach to managing a high-volume caseload.

Compensation Package:

  • Salary: Up to $175,000 per year.
