Kennedys, a leading global law firm, is seeking a highly skilled Insurance Coverage Associate or Special Counsel Attorney to join its New York team. In this role, the attorney will represent insurance companies in coverage disputes and provide expert advice on various coverage matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent insurance companies in coverage disputes and litigation
- Provide expert advice on insurance coverage matters, including policy analysis and interpretation
- Develop and implement strategies to resolve coverage disputes
- Collaborate with clients to understand their coverage needs and provide tailored solutions
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and changes in insurance law
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of law firm experience in insurance coverage and litigation
- Must be licensed in New York
- Licensed in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or Delaware is a plus
- Superior research, writing, and communication skills
- Experience analyzing insurance policies and other relevant contracts
- Ability to handle all phases of the litigation process, including drafting motions, pleadings, and discovery documents
- Experience in drafting settlement agreements, taking depositions, and handling appeals
- Proven and solid courtroom experience, conferences, and handling appeals
- Arbitration and/or trial experience is beneficial
