Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Paramedic Specialist to join our team at The Mount Sinai Health System. As a Paramedic Specialist, you will be responsible for providing emergency medical care to patients in a variety of settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide medical care to patients in the field.
  • Conduct physical exams and take medical histories to determine the best course of treatment.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by medical control physicians.
  • Supervise other personnel on the scene to ensure safe and effective patient care.
  • Transport patients to the emergency department and provide ongoing care during transport.
  • Document patient care and treatment in a comprehensive and accurate manner.
  • Maintain ambulances and other emergency vehicles and equipment in a safe and efficient working order.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
Requirements
  • Four-year high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of a training program as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and Paramedic.
  • One year of experience in emergency medical services preferred.
