About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled VP, Indirect Sourcing Leader to join our team at Sourcing Industry Group. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading our indirect procurement and sourcing efforts, driving strategic initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Product Development, Engineering, and FP&A teams to understand product requirements and develop effective sourcing strategies.
  • Lead the definition and execution of best-in-class sourcing and supply chain solutions for new products, with a focus on consumables.
  • Develop and implement scorecards and key metrics to ensure flawless execution and identify areas for improvement.
  • Identify, monitor, and report on assumptions, risks, and opportunities to ensure successful product launches.
  • Hold personnel accountable for delivering on agreed actions and escalate to leadership as necessary.
  • Keep the focus on consumer and retailer experiences throughout supply chain design.
  • Continuously improve RFQ/RFP processes and contracting requirements.
  • Partner with executives to ensure lowest cost partnerships impacting operational expenses.
Requirements
  • 15+ years of industry-related experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in defining new product supply chains that deliver best-in-class service at the lowest possible cost.
  • Experience across key supply chain functions, including manufacturing, quality, planning, distribution, logistics, order management, sourcing, and/or procurement.
  • Experience and understanding of global supply chain dynamics and considerations.
  • Proven experience in using data (KPIs) to achieve specific strategic results.
  • Strong analytical skills to develop, measure, and improve key performance indicators.
  • Proven experience leading indirect procurement globally.
  • Track record of quickly developing solutions to complex problems.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and comfort working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience partnering with product development, engineering, marketing, finance, and/or sales to launch new products.
  • Team-oriented and collaborative approach.
  • Proven results building effective long-term relationships.
  • Strong negotiation skills to reach consensus, alignment, and commitment.
  • Ability to communicate for impact, both verbally and in writing.
  • Unpretentious confidence and ability to operate with a strong work ethic.
  • Flexibility and ability to adjust on the fly to new demands with a high sense of urgency.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Business Administration or technical discipline.
  • Fast-moving consumer goods experience.
