Clinical Nurse Specialist

The Clinical Nurse Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Performing Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough physical and psychiatric evaluations to ensure accurate patient diagnosis.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses.
- Physician Order Management: Efficiently process and implement physician orders to facilitate patient care.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Regularly check and document vital signs to track patient health status.
- Blood Glucose Testing: Carry out blood glucose tests as part of routine patient care.
- Treatment Completion: Execute and document all necessary treatments as prescribed.
- Pain Assessment: Evaluate and manage patient pain levels effectively.
- Dressing Changes: Perform dressing changes and wound care as required.
- Venipuncture Services: Provide venipuncture services for blood draws and IV access.
- Milieu Management: Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for all patients.
- Electronic Health Record Utilization: Use the electronic health record system to access clinical information and document patient care accurately.
Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with patients and team members, both verbally and in writing, to report findings and updates.
Emergency Protocols: Adhere to agency policies regarding personal safety emergencies, taking immediate action to protect individuals from harm or injury.
