About the Role

The Judge Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for our employees and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Safety Leadership: Create enthusiasm and participation among management, forepersons, and employees to achieve excellent safety performance.
  • Chair Safety Meetings: Organize and lead monthly and quarterly safety meetings, and develop daily toolbox meeting schedules and materials for the field.
  • Collaborate with External Resources: Work with outside safety experts and internal management/employees to create a world-class safety culture.
  • Maintain Safety Supplies: Ensure that jobsite first aid and emergency response supplies are up-to-date and readily available.
  • Coordinate Post-Accident Testing: Arrange for post-accident drug and alcohol testing as needed.
  • Investigate Accidents: Review incident reports, interview witnesses, complete accident investigation reports, and hold Accident Review Boards to identify plans to prevent recurrence.
  • Monitor Safety Reports: Track and analyze site safety reports, and maintain the company's safety bulletin board with awareness materials and postings.
  • Present Safety Statistics: Compile and present leading indicator statistics to the leadership team.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Safety Experience: Seven years of experience preferred, five years required.
  • Construction Safety: Five years of experience in construction safety required.
  • Fleet Safety: Three years of experience in fleet safety required.
  • Licenses: CA Driver's License required, OSHA Construction 30-hour card and/or OSHA General Industry 30-hour card required.
