Job Summary

Banc of California is seeking a highly skilled Fraud Risk Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our risk management department, you will be responsible for identifying and mitigating potential fraud risks within the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively monitor and analyze data to detect and prevent fraudulent activity.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into suspected fraud cases, providing detailed reports and recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective fraud prevention strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including management, employees, and external partners.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on fraud prevention and detection best practices.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to prevent and detect fraud.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience in banking/finance industry, with a focus on fraud investigation and risk management.
  • Strong knowledge of banking regulations and laws, including anti-money laundering and customer information programs.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • SharePoint proficiency, including document maintenance and updates.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • CFE credential a plus.

  • A competitive salary range of $66,000.00 - $100,000.00 USD, depending on experience and qualifications.
