Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading complex projects and working with talented engineers to develop innovative solutions.
About the Role
This position is expected to be fully onsite at our Albuquerque LEOS site and on Kirtland AFB. You will work closely with suppliers and partners to ensure compliance to requirements and coordinate with customers to define key requirements and project objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead teams comprised of multiple skill areas, including internal and external resources and customers.
- Develop system architectures to satisfy research and development, and ongoing and new projects.
- Establish new and follow-on concepts to support research objectives.
- Define and conduct tests to validate performance of designs to requirements.
- Work with suppliers and partners to ensure compliance to requirements.
- Coordinate with customer to define key requirements and project objectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
You must have a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science. Additionally, you should have 10+ years of experience with optical applications including imaging, illumination, radiometry and photometry, physical and geometric optics and polarization.
Preferred Qualifications
It is preferred that you have a Master's degree in Optics, Controls, or EE, and 7+ years of experience working with adaptive optics systems and designing and integrating optical systems.
Compensation
The estimated salary for this position is $164,900 - $223,100 per year, depending on your qualifications and experience.
