Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of leadership, with experience in managing complex projects from inception to completion. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing project teams, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining high-quality standards.
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead the Project Design Team: Coordinate project designs, evaluations, and studies, while ensuring quality control and adherence to deadlines.
- Coordinate Project Designs and Evaluations: Collaborate with project teams to develop comprehensive project plans, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Quality Control Review: Conduct thorough reviews of designs prepared by others, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Design Change Management: Lead project teams in managing design changes, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
- Proposal Development: Assist in assembling project proposals, estimating engineering costs, and preparing contract documents.
- Contract Administration: Manage contract administration, scheduling, and costing, ensuring smooth project execution.
- Project Budgeting and Scheduling: Establish project budgets and schedules, tracking progress, and reporting to clients and management.
- Team Coordination: Orchestrate project kick-off meetings, coordination meetings, and design review meetings for the project team.
- Task Management: Manage tasks to ensure timely completion, monitoring progress, and addressing any issues that may arise.
- Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, communicating project status, and addressing their concerns.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Coordinate with colleagues across disciplines to ensure seamless project execution.
- Municipal Interactions: Lead interactions with local municipalities and contractor teams for permitting and construction activities.
- Contracted Responsibilities: Monitor and manage contracted responsibilities to ensure services provided align with contracted services.
- Staff Oversight and Mentoring: Provide guidance and support to junior staff members, fostering their growth and development.
- Field Work: Perform field work, arranging site walkthroughs, and leading project team meetings.
- Performance Criteria: Ensure that client-specified performance criteria are met, delivering high-quality results.
- Leadership: Demonstrate leadership skills, guiding project managers and administrators across multiple large, fast-paced projects for a single client.
Ideal Candidate Profile:

- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external business partners.
- Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of codes, standards, and construction/engineering processes.
- Error Detection and Correction: Proclivity for catching errors and implementing corrective actions.
- Mathematical Accuracy: High level of math accuracy in cost estimation and financial analysis.
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 10 Years of Experience: A minimum of ten years of experience working on large-scale design and construction projects.
- Technical Expertise: Minimum of five years of experience working on highly technical design and construction projects such as Mission Critical, Cleanroom, or Manufacturing projects.
- Hyperscale Data Center Experience: Experience working on hyperscale data center projects is highly desirable.
- Direct Leadership Experience: Minimum of ten to twenty years of direct experience working with a design-build contractor or consulting engineering firm with significant experience in a team leadership role.
- Software Proficiency: High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, SharePoint, ACC, and Procore.
- Education and Certifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering or architecture or equivalent combination of work experience and relevant education. Professional Engineer (PE) License or Architectural (AIA) License preferred. Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred. LEED Accreditation and/or WELL Certification preferred.
Salary Range:
The salary range for this position is between $150,000 and $180,000 USD per year, depending on skill level, experience, and location.
