Building Maintenance Engineer

Under the direction of management, the Building Maintenance Engineer performs a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth operation of one or more assigned properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building trades and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Respond to after-hours emergency calls and perform necessary repairs.
- Monitor building temperatures and make adjustments as needed.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance routines on engine room equipment, fan room equipment, and cooling towers.
- Install or remove elevator pads as needed.
- Report janitorial issues to management.
- Repair doors, ceilings, base, handrails, and other building components as needed.
- Clean shop areas and maintain air compressors for maximum efficiency.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two to three years of experience in commercial or institutional buildings with complex mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
- Certificates, licenses, and registrations as required by local regulatory authorities.
- Valid state-issued driver's license.
