Position Summary:

The Senior Risk Management Consultant will be responsible for conducting comprehensive evaluations and inspections of various commercial properties and process industries. This role involves engaging with underwriters and brokers through account reviews and meetings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform thorough property loss control inspections across diverse settings, including high-rise buildings, manufacturing facilities, distribution centers, museums, and healthcare establishments.
  • Manage personal scheduling and produce detailed survey reports.
  • Advise underwriting teams on risk quality and insurability.
  • Assess and provide insights on sprinkler systems, building modifications, and fire alarm plans.
  • Maintain an updated database of inspection records.
  • Develop proposals for loss control services.
  • Allocate time across various job functions: Desktop reviews and risk selection (30%), On-site evaluations (50%), Client interactions (10%), and General consulting (10%).
  • A company vehicle will be provided for business use.
Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of fire protection systems, process hazards, and property loss control considerations.
  • Technical expertise in loss prevention codes and industry standards is preferred.
  • Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with underwriters and managing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication, writing, organizational, customer relations, public speaking, and time management skills.
  • Proficient in basic computer operations and familiar with software applications such as Word and Excel.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a recognized engineering discipline is required, with a preference for fire protection.
  • A minimum of five years' experience in conducting property loss control inspections for an insurance, consulting, or brokerage firm is preferred.
