Job Description

This Compliance Specialist position will play a crucial role in providing legal guidance to the agency's Market Conduct Oversight staff, identifying areas of noncompliance in health plan processes and strategies, and researching relevant laws and comparable cases to determine a range of appropriate agency action.

The successful candidate will prepare memoranda for agency enforcement committees, negotiate penalties and/or appropriate remedial measures to be taken, and present OIC's position at hearings before the Presiding Officer and the Office of Administrative Hearings.

Requirements
  • A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and possession of an active license to practice law upon start date.
  • At least one year of experience interpreting, applying, implementing, or enforcing the provisions of state or federal mental health parity laws and rules.
