We are seeking an Inventory Management Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring daily inventory movements, preparing and maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with Company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain open communication with team members and support groups to ensure operational goals are met.
  • Ensure self-compliance with Company policies, plant procedures, and the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Manage the inventory of the dry ingredient room, load and unload trucks, and inspect incoming supplies.
  • Audit materials and ingredients to ensure First In First Out (FIFO) rotation.
  • Monitor production schedules to stage appropriate materials for use and reconcile unused materials.
  • Conduct cycle counts, reconcile inventory, and audit data.
  • Coordinate pick-ups with customers for food-grade starch inventory.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 3 years of related experience and/or training.
  • Strong analytical skills to resolve complex inventory reconciliation issues.
  • Advance knowledge of computer systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Detailed-oriented with initiative.

Compensation:

The estimated salary for this role is $21/hour. The total rewards package includes medical, dental, vision coverage, 401(k) savings plan, 10 paid holidays, paid time off, relocation assistance program, and education assistance. Benefits details are available at simplotbenefits.com.
