Job Summary

Spark Car Wash is seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading a team of associates to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit, select, and train location associates to ensure a high-performing team.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer service and implement solutions to enhance the customer experience.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages open communication, feedback, and innovation.
  • Assist the General Manager in achieving sales targets and operational budget costs.
  • Monitor and maintain quality control of cars coming out of the tunnel, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for equipment maintenance and repair needs, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Resolve customer service-related issues and escalate as needed to the General Manager.
  • Notify the General Manager of damage reports and ensure prompt resolution.
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of cash deposits.
  • Maintain a clean, attractive, and safe facility, adhering to company standards.
  • Schedule associates to match business volume and redeploy as needed to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Fills in and supports any role as required.
  • Engage in upselling and cross-selling products and services to customers.
Requirements
  • Strong organizational, planning, and delegation skills to effectively lead teams to achieve business metrics and service standards.
  • Superb communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey information clearly and effectively to associates and customers.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills to address customer concerns and operational issues.
  • Dependable, reliable, responsible, flexible, and patient, with a strong ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
  • Possess great interpersonal skills, specifically the ability to actively listen and motivate associates.
  • The ability to read and comprehend moderately complex documents related to chemicals, equipment, and safety manuals.
Education/Experience
  • High school diploma/GED preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 1 year in a supervisory experience role.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
  • The position requires the ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as walking, standing, bending, stooping, and handling of tools/materials as well as lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • The position requires the ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
  • The Assistant Manager position works in all types of weather conditions and requires the availability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays.
