Job Title: Strategy & Risk Consultant Senior

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Strategy & Risk Consultant Senior. This is a hybrid schedule position, requiring 2 days/week in office.

About the Role

The Risk, Insurance, Strategy, and Energy (RISE) team at NiSource helps the company make informed decisions under uncertainty. As a Strategy & Risk Consultant Senior, you will be part of a cross-functional team that provides comprehensive analyses and innovative solutions across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Effectively participate on project teams to provide internal and external research to NiSource.
  • Provide dedicated analysis, consultation, and collaboration across functions for the development and communication of strategies, programs, and plans.
  • Evaluate, make recommendations, and drive to closure specific projects related to regulatory strategy, risk, and insurance.
Senior Strategy and Risk Consultant Responsibilities
  • Conduct various analyses for the development of strategy, risk, and insurance programs.
  • Create materials to be presented to the Risk Management Committee and Strategy Council.
  • Solve problems in the areas of strategy, risk, and insurance by applying econometric, actuarial science, and/or statistical methodologies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related discipline.
  • Experience using Excel to analyze data.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated planning, organizational, and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous electric or gas utility experience.
  • Advanced interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • CPA, CMA, CFA, or other analytical-related certification.
