Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

Foster a culture of safety by actively engaging in all safety protocols and initiatives, ensuring compliance with the standards set by the Safety Steering and Continuous Improvement teams.

Uphold and promote the core values, vision, and mission of the organization, adhering to ethical guidelines, workplace conduct, and safety policies.

Implement and advocate for the company's safety program, motivating all team members, subcontractors, and consultants to adopt safe work practices.

Collaborate with superintendents and project managers to maintain project timelines and budgets.

Organize and direct the daily functions of the assigned crew and equipment, including task delegation and accountability.

Interpret project plans and specifications accurately.

Understand and follow surveying markers and plans, including slope stakes and control points.

Guide equipment operators to ensure proper alignment and material movement.

Manage the supply chain for project materials, ensuring timely delivery to the job site.

Encourage employee development through training and mentoring, addressing performance issues as necessary.

Operate heavy machinery and company vehicles to facilitate project completion and transportation of personnel and equipment.

Perform specialized tasks related to concrete finishing, utility installation, grading, and paving.

Handle administrative duties such as email correspondence, timecard management, and document handling.

Ensure regular maintenance inspections of equipment to uphold safety standards.

Conduct minor repairs and maintenance on equipment, escalating major issues to the maintenance team.

Complete daily timecards and monitor project costs and productivity.

Adhere to all local and state regulations governing construction activities.

Submit necessary paperwork and reports related to project management and employee oversight promptly.

Safely operate company vehicles and equipment.


Qualifications:
Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record is mandatory.
A Commercial Driver's License is preferred.
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a specialized construction field or related industry.
1 to 2 years of supervisory experience is preferred.
Strong understanding of construction processes relevant to the role.
Proficiency in using computers and mobile devices, including MS Office and other applications.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.
Frequent use of hands for handling and manipulating objects.
Effective communication skills are essential.
Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach, kneel, and crawl.
Ability to work on uneven terrain and in proximity to heavy machinery.
Exposure to typical construction site conditions, including dust, noise, and various weather conditions.
Occasional travel may be necessary.
