We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Athletic Trainer to join our Sports Medicine team at Providence Ambulatory Service. As an Athletic Trainer, you will provide athletic training coverage and support for sport teams and schools, working closely with our Clinical Supervisor for Rehab Services or Sports Medicine.
Key Responsibilities- Provide and assist in the coordination of activities that include injury prevention, immediate assessment/evaluation/treatment of injuries, and appropriate triage of injuries.
- Work collaboratively with our sports medicine team to provide comprehensive care to athletes and patients.
- Develop and implement injury prevention programs and protocols to minimize the risk of injury to athletes.
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of injuries, and develop treatment plans to ensure optimal recovery and return to play.
- Communicate effectively with athletes, coaches, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and coordination.
- Bachelor's Degree in a Health-Related Field or Equivalent Education/Experience.
- Oregon Athletic Trainer License upon hire.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
- BOC (Board of Certification of Athletic Trainers) membership upon hire.
- Compliance with company policy and state regulations, a Department of Human Services (DHS) criminal background check is required for this position.
- 2 years of experience working in a school/college environment as an Athletic Trainer.
