Job Title: Athletic Trainer Certified

Overview

Select Physical Therapy is seeking a PRN Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) in Portland, OR.

The season runs through June and includes pre-season, regular season, and post-season games.

Games routinely occur in the evenings during the week and on weekends at various times of day. There is no requirement to cover the competition itself.

ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:
  1. Responsible for patient care under supervision of a licensed physician
  2. Designs and implements specific therapeutic programs for rehabilitation of the injured athlete
  3. Determines the need for and administers proper athletic training techniques prior to and during games/practices to decrease risk of injury
  4. Determines the effectiveness of athletic training/rehabilitative techniques and records change as indicated by athlete response within limits of specified plan of care
  5. Maintains proper lines of communication to ensure athlete is getting optimal care within the sports medicine team
  6. Prudently manages emergency incidents, coordinates EMS and acute care procedures including basic life support to reduce the impact on function of an injured athlete
  7. Seeks outreach opportunities and participates in events to promote the company (races, club teams, etc)
QualificationsRequirements:
  1. BS Degree REQUIRED, Masters degree preferred
  2. National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) certification
  3. Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  4. Applicable state license where required
