Your Role

We are seeking a Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture that motivates and engages employees.
  • Lead and mentor warehouse staff to achieve departmental performance indicators.
  • Oversee daily warehouse operations to meet the needs of retail locations while adhering to budget constraints.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and hold them accountable for their responsibilities.
  • Stay updated on relevant regulations and company policies affecting operations.
  • Collaborate with Warehouse Supervisors, associates, dispatch, drivers, and retail teams.
  • Assess equipment and staffing needs for daily operations.
  • Maintain exceptional customer service standards.
  • Recruit and develop warehouse personnel to reach their full potential.
  • Assist in capital projects and quarterly financial planning.
  • Coordinate transportation logistics within the distribution center.
  • Build strong relationships with Retail Partners and the Distribution Center.
  • Manage the financial performance of the warehouse and transportation departments.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations.
  • Verify that all personnel and equipment meet regulatory standards.

Qualifications
  • Experience working with unionized environments is preferred.
  • A bachelor's degree in logistics or business is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 4 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or transportation setting.
  • Familiarity with transportation software, including routing optimization and dispatch systems.
  • Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and health department regulations.
  • Demonstrated success in reducing costs and enhancing productivity.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse management systems.
  • Able to work collaboratively with supervisors to enhance team dynamics.
  • Proficient in analytical and computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to lead and manage a diverse workforce effectively.
  • Experience in hiring, training, and evaluating staff.
  • Excellent communication skills for building relationships with team members.
  • Strong organizational skills with a proactive approach.
  • Experience in promoting a safe work environment.
  • Ability to conduct financial analysis and review cost data.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team-building capabilities.
  • Customer service-oriented with a results-driven mindset.
  • Open to giving and receiving constructive feedback.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
