About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Operations Superintendent to join our team at Albertsons Companies. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for designing, monitoring, and maintaining a safe working environment, fostering a positive work atmosphere, and leading, coaching, and supervising warehouse personnel to attain department KPIs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement safe working procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with safety programs.
  • Foster a positive work culture and motivate employees to achieve high productivity levels.
  • Lead and supervise warehouse personnel to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Manage daily warehouse operations to service the needs of retail stores within departmental budget.
  • Communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
  • Stay up-to-date with Federal, State, and Municipal regulations, as well as company and CBA work rules, to ensure compliance.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of supervision experience in a warehouse or transportation environment.
  • Knowledge of transportation-related software, including routing optimization software, truck on-board computer software, and dispatch software.
  • Knowledge and experience operating within the guidelines of DOT, OSHA, Health Department, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Proven track record of cost reductions and increased productivity.
  • Strong analytical and computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
  • Ability to empower, supervise, and direct a diverse workforce.
  • Ability to hire, develop, evaluate, train, and coach staff and associates.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build direct relationships with hourly associates.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of initiative and flexibility.
