Job Responsibilities

:

• Conduct assessments of Building Automation Systems (BAS) to detect issues and provide guidance to supervisors, customer service teams, and contractors regarding BAS-related concerns.

• Adjust and establish schedules for HVAC and lighting systems, including arrangements for special events.

• Assist contractors in the maintenance and repair of HVAC systems.

• Diagnose and resolve problems with field controllers and associated devices.

• Modify and set schedules for building access systems.

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace access control devices.

• Oversee the maintenance of Electronic Access Control (EAC) hardware across the organization.

• Manage the creation and distribution of keys.

• Respond to service requests related to power outages affecting EAS-equipped doors and carry out necessary repairs.

• Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to log relevant data, including labor hours, work order resolutions, and the status of work orders.

• Request quotes for repair parts and services as needed.

• Participate in meetings or collaborate on Teams as a representative of the Physical Plant for both capital and non-capital projects.

• Recognized as essential personnel for responding to emergencies and natural disasters.

Minimum Qualifications


• Exceptional customer service abilities and a proven track record of building and maintaining effective working relationships.

• Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, drawing revision software, and database management systems, particularly CMMS.

• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

• Effective problem-solving capabilities and adaptability to changing situations.

Additional Considerations


• A minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience in the operation, installation, or maintenance of control or building automation systems (BAS). Experience with Honeywell Tridium or similar systems is preferred.

• Familiarity with HVAC system operations and maintenance in a multi-building campus environment is advantageous.

• Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical instructions, both written and verbal.
