Position Summary:
Lewis Brisbois is in search of a Billing Appeals Coordinator with a solid background in legal operations.
The Billing Appeals Coordinator will possess outstanding technological and communication abilities, coupled with a strong sense of professional responsibility to efficiently manage and process invoice appeals for various electronic billing platforms.
This role requires a comprehensive understanding of the e-billing appeals process related to insurance defense cases, which may involve multiple payors, self-insured retentions (SIRs), and other intricate billing structures.
We provide competitive remuneration and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 401k plan with employer contributions, along with paid sick leave and vacation time.
Key Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
Two (2) to four (4+) years of relevant experience in law firm billing with a focus on high-volume electronic billing
Familiarity with legal accounting software such as Aderant, Elite, or LawTime; experience with BillBlast or eBillingHub is advantageous
A high school diploma or equivalent is required; coursework in Accounting or a degree in Accounting is preferred
Proficient in technology and office applications, particularly advanced skills in Excel, Word, and Outlook,
with the ability to create, modify, and present complex data, analyses, and ad hoc reports
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong aptitude for numerical analysis
Ability to interact effectively and credibly with attorneys, administrative staff, and clients
Detail-oriented with a customer-focused approach and problem-solving mindset
Proactive in anticipating work requirements and organizing workflow; able to follow through with minimal supervision and independently manage tasks
Capable of multitasking, utilizing time efficiently, and maintaining professionalism under tight deadlines
Flexibility to adapt to various situations and potentially work outside of regular hours as needed

Salary Range:
USD $60,000.00 - $75,000.00/Yr.
