Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Behavioral Paraeducator to work full-time with students in Pittsburgh, PA. This role involves supporting children with behavioral, emotional, and learning challenges in a school setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one or small group behavioral support to students.
  • Assist classroom teachers in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Apply behavior management strategies to create a safe and productive learning environment.
  • Track and document student progress, communicating observations to the educational team.
  • Build positive relationships with students, parents, and school staff.
  • Attend team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required (Associates or Bachelors degree preferred).
  • Experience working with children, especially those with special needs or behavioral challenges.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting students growth.
  • Familiarity with CPI, PBIS, or other behavioral intervention techniques is a plus (or willingness to complete training).
