ImpactYour expertise in risk management will directly impact the firm's ability to navigate the evolving landscape of cryptocurrency markets, protect our clients' assets, and maintain our reputation as a trusted and reliable partner in the industry. You will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, security, and compliance of our operations.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with senior management to manage key risks, provide analysis, and highlight risk exposures and performance metrics.
- Refine the firm's comprehensive risk management framework for digital asset trading, custody, and settlement activities.
- Manage a team of risk professionals across the globe.
- Conduct ongoing risk assessments to monitor market volatility, liquidity, counterparty exposure, and regulatory compliance.
- Implement risk measurement methodologies, set risk appetite thresholds, and develop monitoring tools.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with business units to refine risk controls and support new product development.
- Foster relationships with regulatory bodies, industry associations, and auditors to ensure compliance.
- Lead incident response and crisis management efforts.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks to adapt strategies.
- Analyze crypto assets and investment strategies for potential risks and vulnerabilities.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies and evaluate investment opportunities.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in finance or related field required; master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., FRM, CFA) preferred.
- Experience: 10+ years in risk management, preferably in financial services, with exposure to cryptocurrency markets. Prior institutional brokerage firm experience is highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of cryptocurrency markets: Strong knowledge of digital asset trading, custody, and settlement processes, including associated risks and challenges.
- Risk management expertise: Proven track record in developing and implementing risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures. Experience with quantitative risk measurement is essential.
- Regulatory knowledge: Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks and requirements for digital asset trading platforms. Experience in managing relationships with regulators is highly preferred.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills: Ability to analyze complex risk scenarios, identify vulnerabilities, and develop effective risk mitigation strategies. Strong attention to detail and critical thinking under pressure.
- Strong communication and leadership skills: Excellent verbal and written communication; able to present risk-related information to senior management and external stakeholders. Proven ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
