Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting Proficiency: Prepare and scrutinize financial statements, ensuring precision and promptness to deliver vital information to executives, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
  • Holistic Accounting Oversight: Manage various accounting functions, including but not limited to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, credit and collections, general ledger, investments, and taxation.
  • Reconciliation Expertise: Spearhead reconciliation activities for revenue reports, general ledgers, balance sheet accounts, suspense postings, and fixed-asset and pre-paid expense ledgers.
  • Daily and Monthly Financial Operations: Ensure the thorough examination of daily balance sheets, preparation of daily and monthly journal entries, and contribute to an accurate month-end close.
  • CECL Evaluation: Lead the analysis and reconciliation of current expected credit losses (CECL).
  • Budgeting and Financial Forecasting: Collaborate on the development of budgets and forecasts, monitor performance against objectives, and provide insightful variance analysis.
  • Financial Systems Management: Oversee the maintenance and enhancement of financial systems (e.g., ERP software) to support accurate and efficient financial operations.
  • Specialized Projects: Conduct specialized accounting studies, analyses, and projects as requested by management, maintaining complex computer-based analyses and reports.
  • Internal Control Development: Establish and uphold internal control procedures to protect company assets, ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and minimize the risk of fraud or error.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including task assignments, work reviews, performance evaluations, and facilitating professional development opportunities.
  • Process Enhancement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, improve efficiency, and implement best practices, including the automation of routine tasks.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree, with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Professional proficiency in English; Spanish fluency is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and proficiency in QuickBooks, advanced Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in analyzing multi-system outputs.
  • Ability to swiftly learn various software applications.
  • Exceptional time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities with a proactive mindset.
