Job Summary

As a Senior Suspension Design Engineer at Honda Development and Manufacturing of America, you will be responsible for designing suspension parts and systems that meet targeted schedules and deliver outstanding performance, quality, reliability, value, and enjoyment to Honda's customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop suspension parts and systems that meet performance, quality, cost, and delivery targets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, test, factory, purchasing, and suppliers, to ensure seamless execution of projects.
  • Develop and maintain schedules, milestones, and trigger points to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Lead meetings and provide constructive feedback to ensure open communication and issue resolution.
  • Review costs and provide solutions to ensure design intentions are met.
  • Share development progress with stakeholders, including Chief, PL, and TE, to ensure proper direction and successful completion.
  • Stay up-to-date with technical trends and new technologies, and propose innovative solutions to create value and improve processes.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in automotive suspension component and system design.
  • Strong knowledge of CAD software, including CATIA V5/V6, and kinematics.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
