Mechanical Design Sr. Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Sr. Engineer to join our team at American Honda Motor Co. This role will be responsible for developing complex component and system layouts for ATV/SxS prototype vehicles using computer-aided design software.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and communicate specification requirements and manufacturing control points via prototype and production drawings.
- Establish or contribute to establishing cost targets for responsible parts and achieve the cost targets through optimizing difficult part/system designs.
- Create and manage schedules of individual work to ensure deadlines are met and coordinate resource needs with supervisor.
- Generate high-level ideas and contribute to building strategies that support the evolution of new technologies.
- Support market quality themes and utilize problem-solving methods to analyze root causes.
- Bachelor's Engineering Degree in a related field.
- 5+ years of engineering experience preferably in Powersports or Automotive field.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with staff and management.
- Competent in FTA, FMEA, dimensional tolerance stack-ups, and application.
- Competent analytical, problem-solving, judgment, decision-making, and prioritization skills.
- Competent drawing and layout skills/techniques, including understanding of CAE principles.
- Competent in creating a plan and schedule.
- Competent in understanding product development schedules.
