Job Title: Welder

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at Maag Group. As a Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and equipment using various welding machines and techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate and assemble metal structures and equipment using welding machines and techniques
  • Read and interpret diagrams, sketches, and blueprints to determine operations, required materials, and timeframes for projects
  • Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment
  • Understand and implement personal and company safety measures
  • Communicate effectively with team members and customers
  • Operate and maintain machines that repair metal structures, equipment, and machinery
  • Qualify by process and position in various fields based on skill level and experience

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent education
  • Technical training in reading blueprints
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in TIG and MIG welding
  • Minimum 1 year of experience reading blueprints

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to lift heavy items
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills
  • Independent self-starter with problem-solving skills

Work Environment:

This position is in a factory floor environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud, and PPE may be required.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. The employee must be able to lift items up to 50 pounds.
