About the Role:

As an Expert Welder, you will be responsible for conducting training for welders in our Trinity Industries Weld Academy. You will ensure that all welding standards are met and upheld throughout the facility. Additionally, you will act as a mentor to new employees and serve as a point of contact for Trinity Industries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Exhibit Trinity Core Values and 3 Ts (take care of our people, trust, and transparency)
  • Making welds that pass NDT testing
  • Be present and available for work
  • Excel in a team environment
  • Act as a resource for production welders
  • Produce high-quality welds on various base metals
  • Understand and implement Welding Procedure Specifications
  • Uphold Trinity Industries Welding and Quality Standards
  • Aid in managing the Trinity Industries Welder database
  • Assist in parameter verification for welding machines
  • Ensure safe practices are followed

Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of metal fabrication experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively with trainees and plant leadership
  • Achieve various welder qualifications in different welding processes
  • Proficient in blueprint reading
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
  • Previous railcar experience highly recommended
