Trinity Rail Maintenance Services, Inc. is seeking a skilled and experienced welder to join our team in Shell Rock, IA. As an Expert Welder, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our railcar maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct training for welders in the Trinity Industries Weld Academy
  • Ensure adherence to welding standards and procedures throughout the facility
  • Act as a mentor to new employees and provide guidance on welding techniques and best practices
  • Make welds that meet NDT testing requirements
  • Work effectively in a team environment and provide support to production welders as needed
  • Produce high-quality welds on various types of base metal, including carbon steel, aluminum, and stainless steel
  • Understand and implement Welding Procedure Specifications in the plant and Weld Academy
  • Aid in managing the Trinity Industries Welder database
  • Assist in parameter verification for welding machines
  • Ensure safe practices are followed at all times
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of metal fabrication experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively with trainees and plant leadership
  • Multiple welder qualifications in different welding processes
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
  • Previous railcar experience highly recommended
